Bittermens Breaks the TTB Barrier

Vor ein paar Tagen erhielt ich eine E-Mail von Avery Glasser, dem Kopf der aufstrebenden US Bitters Mitbewerberfirma "Bittermens", der erste Erfolge bei dem langwierigen US Zulassungsprozedere verzeichnen kann.

"To Everyone Patiently Waiting for Bittermens,

Today, we have made a giant step forward in the seemingly never-ending process of bringing Bittermens' Bitters to market. After almost 10 months of waiting, the TTB has finally approved our formulations and given us the go-ahead for the Xocolatl Mole and Grapefruit bitters.

We're not done with all of the bureaucratic red tape though. We still have to try and convince the town of Brookline to permit us to make the bitters in our kitchen. If they say yes - then we can move forward and start putting together our first legal batches in the next month or so!

If not, we'll have to find a bar, restaurant or other commercial kitchen we can use instead. It's actually not a big deal - just requires an amendment to the TTB, but in the long run, it might be much simpler. In case we end up going down that route, if anyone in the Boston area has a space that they're willing to donate to the cause - let us know!

Avery, der mit seiner Frau Janet schon in München & San Francisco lebte und derzeit in New York tätig ist, kommt in Kürze in die Stadt an der Isar um zümpftig mit Brezen, Maß und Blasmusik seinen Geburtstag zu feiern und es trifft sich gut, dass dieses am Tage vor Herrn Bergs Abreise zum BarConvent passiert. Demnach ist anzunehmen, dass ich das ein oder andere Fläschchen der "Konkurrenz" unter das Volk bringen werde.
